You'll also need to make the pivotal decision of which position you'll want to play and what style you'll bring to your game. The list of animation options is great to see and will allow you to meld a unique player that will hopefully stand out from the throngs of others. The mechanic is wonderfully deep and allows for plenty of different looks for your wannabe baller.

Your player begins at the creation stage. Basketball is well-suited to delivering a team-based experience that one player can influence and NBA 2K10 does an admirable job of emulating what it's like to really be on a court with nine other guys. It's truly a lot of fun.It's a bit puzzling why the NBA has been left out of the now typical career mode that we see from today's flock of sports games. I absolutely fell in love with the game after that and can't stop playing it. I am also looking for a third big guy (like Garnett or Duncan). Right now I am the Sixers and in 2 seasons from now (in my game that is) I have Rudy Gay and Carmelo Anthony. You can choose any team and call ALL the shots for 20-25 years. I am one of those people who like building a team and in Association Mode, there is no better way. The menus didn't, they still suck, but the whole experience did. What I did then was I called up my friend who has 2K and I asked him, "what's the best thing about it?" He said it was Association Mode. I had to know why people liked 2K so much. Until one day when I just couldn't stand it any longer. I said that Live was better and continued to play it. I didn't know if it was in the settings or whatever, but I couldn't find it due to the poor menu system. I couldn't even trade more than one player for a different one player. This only made me think less of the game because I kept on trying to make realistic trades instead of it just letting me trade whoever I wanted. I gave it one last whirl and tried season mode.
I was really set on the fact that Live was the better one but people just happened to like 2K more. It is noticeable but it didn't really bother me. I researched it and people were annoyed by the fact that sometimes in Live people and/or object go through each other.
